Apprenticeships

West Berkshire Council is proud to offer an apprenticeship programme to our employees. 

Apprenticeships are designed to help individuals gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed in their chosen field, while achieving recognised qualifications at any stage of their career. Work Experience

West Berkshire Council is dedicated to supporting the personal and social development of local young people. We believe work experience plays a vital role in helping them learn, grow and prepare for future employment. Each year, we offer work experience programmes—typically during the Spring and Summer terms—providing students with meaningful opportunities to gain real-world skills and confidence.

There are lots of great reasons to complete your work experience with the council. You'll have the chance to:

During your placement, you will:
